John will also discuss his new recording: “Don’t Let Me Stay” from Lakeshore Records. The new record features John Velghe on lead vocals, guitars, and keyboards, with his band, The Prodigal Sons: Mike Alexander on guitar, mandolin, backing vocals; Chris Wagner on bass, backing vocals; GoGo Ray on drum set; Hermon Mehari on trumpet; Sam Hughes on saxophone; Mike Walker on trombone. With: Kirsten Paludan on vocals; James Mitchell on cello; Whitney Williamson on violin; and Catherine Root on violin. John Velghe & The Prodigal Sons will be concert on Saturday, Mar. 24, at The Record Bar, 1020 Westport Road, in a special recording release show that will include an 11 piece ensemble, including string players and a horn section.
