2. Calvin Arsenia – “Aquamarine”

[24 year old Calvin Arsenia, who recently returned home to Kansas City after living and performing in Edinburgh, Scotland. Arsenia stands at 6 foot 5 inches, where he delivers soulful and powerful vocals with his multi-octave range, while also playing piano, guitar, and harp. A songwriter, producer, and engineer, Calvin Arsenia made his performance debut in early 2010 and since then has written, arranged and produced 5 EPs. In April, 2014, he released an intimate 7-song EP called “Moments” and now is set to release a new collaborative EP called, “Prose.” Calvin Arsenia played live on the show on October 22.]

Dawg Daze Winter Wing Ding benefit, at Californos in Westport, Saturday, January 31, 6:00 pm to 2:00am is a fundraiser for the Dawg Daze of Summer Festival, and also benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This is also a blanket drive which will help supply blankets to those in the KC area who are in need of warmth through Project Warmth Kansas City. The Dawg Daze of Summer Festival is a biennial event which takes place on the even numbered years. The festival will return in 2016 with the Stringband Extravaganza! 6. Dustin Rapier – “Afterthought”

[Dustin Rapier was born into a musical family in Northwest Arkansas. His debut album “Songs About No One” was released July 23, 2012. The album began in a college dorm room at a small private college. After trying a few things using school recording equipment, Dustin fell in love with the recording process. He eventually created Fly Penguin Records. Now in Kansas City, Dustin played a midwest album release tour for his latest release, as well as steady gigs at The Tank Room, The Riot Room, Californos, The Point, The Green Lady Lounge, restaurants, piano lounges, and bars all over the Midwest, where Dustin on piano plays everyone from Earth Wind & Fire, to Lana Del Rey, and the Jackson 5. Dustin played live on WMM on Aug. 20, 2014.]

[Lawrence, KS based Tyler Gregory is known for his powerful and commanding voice that mixes blues and roots music. Inspired by WWII-era blues belters, his music is performed with passion and driven with his guitar / banjo / stomp-box, and beautiful live performance arrangements. Tyler Gregory has released three albums, and averages 230 shows per year out on the road. 11:00 – Interview with Crystal Clayton & Tayler Spencer
Kansas City based singer/songwriter, Crystal Clayton has been performing since she was 7 years old. She has performed The New Theatre in Overland Park and for The Lyric Opera of Kansas City. She wrote her first song when she was 15. She has released three original singles, digitally, available on iTunes. She plays with a five-piece band of local musicians and has been performing at venues all over KC as well as local festivals in the area. Crystal has sang on tracks with Prozak and Ces Cru (part of Tech N9ne’s label, Strange Music) and she is currently working with her new band Vetta, recording in the studio for their debut EP to be released this year.
The new band is called Vetta, and the group includes: Tayler Spencer – Guitar, Jordan Caldwell – Cajon & Percussion, Sean Bird – Bass Guitar, and Daniel Clayton – Synthesizers

She is a clarinetist and guitarist for Claire and the Crowded Stage and provides vocals and is a guitarist for Rooms Without Windows. Teri Quinn and Her Situation will play Coda Bar and Grill, on Friday, January 30, at 9:00 pm, with The Scatters, and Thommy Hoskins.

Though consistently lauded by critics, Belle and Sebastian’s “wistful pop” has enjoyed only limited commercial success.]
