   [“Wildflowers” is a song written by Dolly Parton, which was included on the Grammy-winning, multi-Platinum 1987 album Trio and recorded by Parton with Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt. The original recording featured an autoharp, acoustic guitar (played by Harris) and fiddle, and was arranged to sound like an old fashioned Appalachian folk song. It was the fourth single released from the Trio album, and reached #6 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in July 1988. // In 2008, the recording was played at a reception by the Texas State Democratic Party, honoring former First Lady – Lady Bird Johnson. Johnson’s love of wild flowers was well known, and she had long championed the planting of them along the U.S. highways. // In the song, the narrator talks about being restless and wanting to branch out, using wildflowers as a metaphor, concluding that “wildflowers don’t care where they grow”. // Trio is a collaborative album by American singers Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris. It was released on March 2, 1987, by Warner Bros. Records. The album has platinum certification in the U.S. for sales of one million copies, and has total worldwide sales of approximately four million. A second collaborative album, Trio II, was released in 1999. // Longtime friends and admirers of one another, Parton, Harris, and Ronstadt first attempted to record an album together in the mid-1970s, but scheduling conflicts and other difficulties (including the fact that the three women all recorded for different record labels) prevented its release. // Some of the fruits of those aborted 1970s recording sessions did make it onto the women’s respective solo albums. “Mr. Sandman” and “Evangeline” appeared on Harris’ album Evangeline and Parton’s “My Blue Tears” was included on Ronstadt’s 1982 album Get Closer. Rodney Crowell’s “Even Cowgirls Get the Blues” was on Harris’ Blue Kentucky Girl album. “Palms of Victory”, another track from the aborted 1970s sessions, was included on the Harris’ 2007 box set Songbird: Rare Tracks and Forgotten Gems. // Parton and Ronstadt also recorded a version of the traditional ballad “I Never Will Marry”, which appeared on Ronstadt’s 1977 Simple Dreams album, though that was recorded separately from these sessions, as was Ronstadt’s cover of Hank Williams’ “I Can’t Help It (If I’m Still in Love with You)”, from Heart Like a Wheel, on which she was joined by Harris. During this time, Ronstadt and Harris also covered a number of Parton’s compositions — Harris covered “Coat of Many Colors” and “To Daddy”, and Ronstadt recorded “I Will Always Love You”—for inclusion on their various solo albums during the mid- to late-1970s. Parton, in turn, covered Harris’ “Boulder to Birmingham”, including it on her 1976 album, All I Can Do. // Finally, a collaboration effort came to fruition, being produced by George Massenburg. When Trio was released in March 1987, it spawned four hit singles–including a remake of Phil Spector’s 1958 hit by the Teddy Bears, “To Know Him Is to Love Him”.]

[Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean was born January 19, 1946 and passed away yesterday on August 25, 2026, at the age of 80. She was an American musician, actress, philanthropist, and businesswoman. Dubbed the “Queen of Country”, she was one of the most-honored female country performers in history. Parton received various accolades, including eleven Grammy Awards, three Emmy Awards and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, along with nominations for two Academy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, and a Tony Award.]

[Dolly Parton wrote her first song at the age of six, began performing regularly on TV at the age of ten, and made her first recording at the age of 11. She became a professional songwriter at the age of 16 and, after writing hits for other artists, her debut album, Hello, I’m Dolly, was released in 1967, beginning a career spanning nearly 60 years and 50 studio albums. // Parton composed more than 3,000 songs, including “I Will Always Love You” (a two-time U.S. country chart-topper and an international hit for Whitney Houston that sold 40 million copies worldwide), “Jolene”, “Coat of Many Colors” and “9 to 5”. As an actress, she starred in 9 to 5 (1980) and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), earning Golden Globe nominations for both, as well as Rhinestone (1984), Steel Magnolias (1989), Straight Talk (1992), and Joyful Noise (2012). // With estimated sales exceeding 100 million records, Parton was one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Her music includes Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)-certified gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards. Twenty-five of her singles reached number one on the Billboard country music charts, tied with Reba McEntire for the most by a female artist. She had 44 career top-10 country albums, a record for any artist, and 110 career-charted singles over 40 years. Her 49th and final solo studio album, Rockstar (2023), became her highest-charting Billboard 200 album, peaking at number three. // Dolly Rebecca Parton was born on January 19, 1946, in a one-room cabin on the banks of the Little Pigeon River in Pittman Center, Tennessee. She was the fourth of 12 children born to Avie Lee Caroline (née Owens; 1923–2003) and Robert Lee Parton Sr. (1921–2000). The other siblings in her family are: Willadeene (born 1940), David Wilburn (1942–2024), Coy Denver (1943–2026), Robert Lee “Bobby” (born 1948), Stella Mae (born 1949), Cassie Nan (born 1951), Randle Huston “Randy” (1953–2021), Larry Gerald (1955–1955), twins Frieda Estelle (born 1957) and Floyd Estel (1957–2018), and Rachel Ann (born 1959). Parton’s middle name came from her maternal great-great-grandmother Rebecca (née Dunn) Whitted. // Parton’s father, known as “Lee”, worked in the mountains of East Tennessee, first as a sharecropper and later tending his own small tobacco farm and acreage. He also worked construction jobs to supplement the farm’s small income. Despite her father’s illiteracy, Parton often said he was one of the smartest people she had ever known with regard to business and making a profit. Parton’s mother cared for their large family. Her 11 pregnancies (the tenth being twins) in 20 years made her a mother of 12 by age 35. Parton credited her musical abilities to her mother’s influence; often in poor health, she still managed to keep house and entertain her children with Great Smoky Mountain folklore and old ballads. With Welsh ancestry, Avie Lee knew many songs that immigrants from Europe brought to southern Appalachia. Avie Lee’s father, Jake Owens, was a Pentecostal preacher, and Parton and her siblings attended church regularly. // Parton long credited her father for her business sense and her mother’s family for her musical abilities. When she was a young girl, her family moved from the Pittman Center area to a two‑room cabin and farm on nearby Locust Ridge. Most of her cherished childhood memories happened there. A replica of the Locust Ridge cabin is displayed at her namesake theme park Dollywood. The farm acreage and surrounding woodland inspired her to write the song “My Tennessee Mountain Home” in the 1970s. Years after the farm was sold, Parton bought it back in the late 1980s. Her brother Bobby helped with building restoration and new construction. Parton said her family was “dirt poor”. Her father paid missionary Dr. Robert F. Thomas with a sack of cornmeal for delivering her. Later in life, Parton wrote a song about Dr. Thomas. She also outlined her family’s poverty in her early songs “Coat of Many Colors” and “In the Good Old Days (When Times Were Bad)”. // The Parton’s small subsistence farm on Locust Ridge was in a predominantly Pentecostal area located north of the Greenbrier Valley of the Great Smoky Mountains. Music played an important role in Parton’s early life and she was brought up in the Church of God, in a congregation pastored by her grandfather, Jake Robert Owens. Her earliest public performances were in the church, beginning at age six. At seven, she started playing a homemade guitar. When she was eight, her uncle bought her first real guitar. The Parton family was well-fed despite their poverty, and her 2024 cookbook, Good Lookin’ Cookin’ (co-written with her sister Rachel), recalls numerous family meals. After graduating from Sevier County High School in Sevierville, Tennessee, in 1964, Parton moved to Nashville, TN, the next day.]

3. Madonna – “Danceteria”

   [Confessions II (also referred to as Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II) is the fifteenth studio album by American singer and songwriter Madonna. It was released on July 3, 2026, through Warner Records. Conceived as a sequel to Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005), the album was inspired by familial and professional challenges, in addition to the sociopolitical state of the world, which led Madonna to record an upbeat album as a distraction. She wrote and produced all the material with Stuart Price, her main collaborator on the original album. Madonna also worked with Andrew Watt, Cirkut, Tainy, Martin Garrix, and Mirwais. Confessions II features guest appearances by Sabrina Carpenter, Feid, Stromae, and Madonna’s eldest daughter Lola Leon. // Mainly an EDM record, it explores a variety of dance and electronic music subgenres, including house, dance-pop, disco and downtempo. Like Confessions on a Dance Floor, it is structured like a continuous DJ mix and includes several samples and interpolations. Its main themes are freedom, escapism, self-realization, grief, and spirituality. Additionally, it includes memories of Madonna’s early life and troubled family relationships. Partially a visual album, it was accompanied by a short musical film, Confessions II. The album has spawned three singles: “Bring Your Love”, “Love Sensation” and “Danceteria,” while “I Feel So Free” was released as a promotional single. Additionally, a remix of “Love Sensation” with Kylie Minogue was released. Madonna promoted the album through several promotional campaigns, live performances, and a series of club appearances with Price called Club Confessions. // Confessions II received universal acclaim upon its release, with multiple critics calling it Madonna’s best album since Confessions on a Dance Floor. Particular praise was aimed at the eclectic production, Madonna’s introspective lyricism and her vocals. The album charted at number one in 17 countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. // Madonna with Stuart Price during the Celebration Tour in Antwerp, 2023. Price was the tour’s musical director and served as opening act for selected concerts. // In 2005, Madonna released the studio album Confessions on a Dance Floor, recorded mainly with Stuart Price in his London flat. It was a dance-pop album with disco influences, recorded in a non-stop mix. Before its release, Price secretly tested the tracks they were creating by slipping instrumental dubs into his DJ sets. During its promotion, Madonna played a series of intimate performances in nightclubs. The album met with critical acclaim and won Best Electronic/Dance Album at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. // After finishing promotion of Confessions on a Dance Floor, Madonna did not speak with Price for about 15 years. In 2023, she hired him as a musical director for the Celebration Tour, her retrospective concert series. After finishing the tour, she resumed working on her biographical film, which was ultimately scrapped by Universal Pictures due to budget constraints. Afterwards, Netflix reached out to her about creating a television series based on her life, but its development got longer while she was trying to find a proper showrunner. She decided to make a dance album as a distraction from waiting for both projects to materialize. Feeling that “the world is in a very dark place and people need to dance”, she reached out to Price to record a sequel of Confessions on a Dance Floor. Previously, she wanted to record an album with other producers and “have other experiences”, but their collaborative work on the Celebration Tour made them remember “how much we loved working with each other, how aligned we are not only sonically but also intellectually and emotionally”.// In September 2024, Madonna announced on her Instagram account that she was working on new music with Price. The following February, she confirmed that her new music was a follow-up to Confessions on a Dance Floor and teased its release in 2025. She continued to document the recording sessions on social media, posting pictures in the studio with Price throughout 2025. In September 2025, she announced a reunion with her original record label of over 25 years, Warner Records, with the album slated for release in 2026. In the same month, she revealed the titles of two songs from the album: “Fragile” and “Forgive Yourself”, in a podcast interview on an episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty. Additionally, in advance of the sequel album, she released a twentieth anniversary edition of Confessions on a Dance Floor on streaming and digital retailers in November 2025. // Madonna moved from New York City to London, where she started working with Price in his studio in Maida Vale. While the re-release of Confessions on a Dance Floor was planned, they thought the new album has “got to be as good as or better than this”. She described the creative process as “medicine for my soul” and said that songwriting allows for full artistic freedom without having to “ask anyone for their permission”. The album was inspired by the illnesses of her brother, Christopher Ciccone, and stepmother, Joan Ciccone, both of whom died in 2024. She started working on the album by writing songs about family trauma. She wrote “Fragile” right after a phone conversation with Christopher, calling the experience “cathartic” and “like an exorcism”. Her daughter, Lourdes Leon, approached her to create a song together, which became their first music collaboration. They co-wrote “The Test”, with Madonna describing it as a “healing moment” between them, which “solidified the idea that now is the time to make” the album. She approached Sabrina Carpenter over an Instagram direct message to record a collaboration for the album, which ended up being “Bring Your Love”. She also collaborated with Dutch DJ and music producer Martin Garrix on “Bizarre”. Belgian musician Stromae provided guest vocals on “My Sins Are My Savior”. // The album was recorded for about a year and a half. Madonna revealed that she recorded eight additional songs that did not make it onto the album, including “What Will Save Me” with Price and Arca, but added that she hopes to release the extra songs in the future.]

4. The Avalanches – “Every Single Weekend (feat. Jamie xx)”

   [One of four singles from No Bad Memories, the upcoming fourth studio album from Australian electronic group the Avalanchess. // According to a press release, No Bad Memories is “inspired by the simultaneously magical and insidious ways that advertising and name-brand technology wraps itself around our memories. An ambivalent ode to the nostalgic pull of commercial ingles, proprietary start-up sounds, and long-forgotten audio logos. Revisiting imagery and jingles from childhood and realizing how profoundly they have stuck. Taking these sound sources from within the heart of this kinda corporate framework and flipping the fragments into our own kind of joyous pop music… Eventually we arrived at this world of No Bad Memories”. // The Avalanches are an Australian electronic music group formed in Melbourne in 1997. They have released three studio albums, Since I Left You (2000), Wildflower (2016), and We Will Always Love You (2020). The group is scheduled to release their fourth album No Bad Memories (2026) on October 16. They perform a hybrid live show that also incorporates elements of DJing. The group currently consists of co-founding members Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi, as well as multi-instrumentalist Andy Szekeres. // The band is an exponent of the plunderphonics genre, and their first album, Since I Left You, has been recognised by many critics as the most important example of the genre. // Three future Avalanches members formed Alarm 115 in Melbourne in 1994 as a noise punk outfit inspired by Drive Like Jehu, The Fall, and Ultra Bide. The line-up was Robbie Chater on keyboards, Tony Di Blasi on keyboards, bass and backing vocals, and Darren Seltmann on vocals (ex-Ripe). By 1995, Manabu Etoh joined on drums. The group bought instruments, recording gear and numerous old vinyl records by the crate at second-hand shops. When Etoh was deported and Alarm 115 disbanded, these records became the core of a new project. Chater was a film student at RMIT University and had access to a recording studio, which he and Seltmann used to turn the records into a 30-song demo tape labelled Pan Amateurs. In 1997 a new group consisting of Chater, Di Blasi, Seltmann, and Gordon McQuilten on keyboards was assembled to play the tracks live. Chater, Di Blasi and McQuilten had all been school mates in Maryborough. Starting in July, their first four shows were played under different names: Swinging Monkey Cocks, Quentin’s Brittle Bones, and Whoops Downs Syndrome. The group became “The Avalanches” at their fifth gig, borrowing the new band name from an American surf rock band, which recorded only one album, Ski Surfin’ with the Avalanches, in 1963.]

5. Making Movies – “This is a Photograph [feat. Kevin Morby]”

It’s lead single, a Spanish-language reimagining of Morby’s title track, written in the days after a family funeral. // The release reimagines Morby’s beloved song through a deeply personal, Spanish-language interpretation inspired by family, memory, and Panamá’s cultural legacy, and arrives with a visualizer directed by William J. Stribling. // The Spanish-language reimagining turns Morby’s beloved song toward frontman Enrique Chi’s own family album — memory, inheritance, and the Panamá he was born into. It arrives with a visualizer directed by William J. Stribling, The recording began in the wake of a family loss. As Making Movies leader Enrique Chi reflected on photographs of his family after the funeral of his grandfather, Morby’s song became a constant companion. // “When we buried my grandfather, I sat on his front porch in Santiago, Panamá looking at photos of my family. Kevin’s song ran through my head as songs often do when they are connected to the moment I am experiencing and I started thinking about translating it. I soon realized his boxing metaphor was of the historic fight between Sugar Ray and legendary Panamanian boxer Roberto Durán. It felt meant to be.” // Rather than offering a literal translation, “This Is a Photograph (bajo el sol de Panamá)” transforms the original into something entirely its own. Sung in Spanish and featuring Kevin Morby on guitar and vocals alongside the band, the song widens the original’s themes of memory, identity, and place, binding its emotional core to Enrique Chi’s family. // The accompanying visualizer, shot by William J. Stribling, expands on the song’s reflection on the passage of time – how it can weigh on us and wear us down. Featuring a photo by acclaimed documentary photographer Scout Tufankjian alongside Stribling’s images, the visualizer captures that tension through intimate, cinematic imagery, underscoring a deeper message of resilience: no matter how heavy time can feel, we have to keep fighting through it and persevering. // As Making Movies continues work on new music, with a follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2022 album XOPA, the release of “This Is a Photograph (bajo el sol de Panamá)” offers another glimpse into the band’s enduring commitment to storytelling that transcends borders, languages, and generations. // “This Is a Photograph (bajo el sol de Panamá)” is the first song released from Una Vida, the band’s first album since 2022’s XOPA. 6. Devon Gilfillian – “Black Dog Rabbit Hole”

   [Devon Gilfillian shows off his rock & roll side on “Black Dog Rabbit Hole,” a standout from his new album Time Will Tell. Wailing guitars and thunderous drums carry the song, as Gilfillian howls about surrendering to your wants and desires. The song also gives Gilfillian an opportunity to show off his guitar wizardry, with a stunning solo tying the song together. // “I love loud, aggressive guitars, I always have, and this song scratches that itch real good,” says Gilfillian. “This is my no fucks given rocker about giving in to all your vices. Of course that’ll lead to a cycle of depression, hence the ‘black dog rabbit hole’ part, but hopefully, we always pull ourselves out.” // Time Will Tell is the album Gilfillian has been working towards his entire life. 7. SEYKO – “So Wonderful”

   [“So Wonderful” was written by Seyko. Michelle Bacon at The Bridge, reported it started as a possible Freedom Affair song (Seyko is one of the band’s three lead vocalists), but ultimately didn’t fit their second album thematically. So, she brought the song to a few bandmates Cole Bales for recording and production, Dave Brick on drums and Branden Moser on bass to release this as a solo single. // Seyko released the single “Anybody High: on Cecember 2, 2023 also through Groove King Re cords. And also Produced by Colby Bales of the band Black Light Animals and also a bandmate of SEYKO’s in The Freedom Affair. // Seyko released the single “What I Want” on June 23, 2023. //From www.seykomusic.com: Seyko has always found music to be a reflection of her innermost thoughts and feelings, a way of self-expression but even deeper than that. Music was always a life-giving, constant companion from the happiest moments to the darkest days. Music continues to be Seyko’s way of communicating with the world around her. // Seyko developed her musical talent during her formative years through church and school choirs, friendships that evolved into singing groups, and professional training through voice lessons and songwriting. Opportunities presented themselves, but Seyko also created opportunities for herself as she chased her dream to create and perform her own music. // The Freedom Affair and SUNU, two Kansas City bands Seyko performs and writes with, have solidified her place in the music scene and provide a solid foundation for beginning her solo career. 8. Kelela – “Linknb”

   [Kelela Mizanekristos (pronounced kələla mizanəkrɨstos0, born June 4, 1983. She is an American singer. She made her debut in the music industry with the release of her 2013 mixtape Cut 4 Me. In 2015, she released Hallucinogen, an EP which deals with the beginning, middle, and end of a relationship in reverse chronological order. Her debut studio album, Take Me Apart, was released in 2017 to critical acclaim. After a nearly 5-year hiatus, Kelela released her second album, Raven, in February of 2023. // A second-generation Ethiopian American and an only child, Mizanekristos was born in Washington, D.C., on June 4, 1983. Growing up in Gaithersburg, Maryland, she learned to play the violin in fourth grade and sang in her school’s choir. In 2001, she graduated from Magruder High School. After transferring from Montgomery College to the American University, Mizanekristos began singing jazz standards at cafés. In 2008, she joined an indie band called Dizzy Spells and sang progressive metal after meeting Tosin Abasi, whom she later dated. In 2010, she moved to Los Angeles, where she currently lives, in addition to London.]

For this EP Gailen Gillespie played synthesizers and was Master Engineer and Mixed the record. Josh Thomas was a Recording Engineer. This follows The Creepy Jingles album WASHED UP, released May 22, 2026, through Enigmatic Brunch Records. The Creepy Jingles are led by Jocelyn Nixon, a transgender wordsmith who charms with razor wit and dazzles with her lyrical acrobatics. Earlier this year Jocelyn Olivia Nixon shared with us the unreleased single “fight for your say” for our March 4, 2026 radio show. // Last year Jocelyn Olivia Nixon released the single, “YOU AIN’T RIGHT! The Creepy Jingles released the stand alone single, “Throwing In The Femme Fatale” on Nov. 18, 2021. As lead singer Jocelyn Olivia Nixon, who is a transgender woman, told 90.9 The Bridge, “This is one of those songs we wanted to make space for and share because it was a favorite little oddball of ours, it’s a bit outside the box of what we normally do.” Nixon continued, “I wrote it to appear vague enough where it could be about a song, idea or a person that gets stuck inside your crawl space,” the song was about her own mindset before transitioning. “…This overwhelming thought about showing the world who I really was, because I couldn’t ignore it anymore.”

Al & Fritz explored playing old-time tunes with amplified fiddle, synth, and drums. Their noise art creation, COLD GRAVY BOWL released on Friday, March 1, 2024 through Manor Records. True Lions played a COLD GRAVY BOWL, Release Show on Saturday, March 2, 2024, with 7:00pm doors, 8:00pm showtime, at The Emerald, 1717 W. 9th Street, KCMO in the West Bottoms. This theatrical, punk, drag, rock and roll, folk event also features The Matchsellers, Scary Cherry, Ezra Prince, and Nora Demented.

COLD GRAVY BOWL as an album is Hawkins and Hutchison’s demon music baby born of traditional Ozark Old-Time fiddle tunes put in a blender with amplified fiddle distortion, heavy drums, and bass synth. Working class rural music of the 19th and 20th centuries heard through a prism of Nu-Metal and modern punk rock sensibilities delivered with raw minimal instrumentation blown up through maximalist tones. With this music, True Lions seeks to unite the creative voices of America’s economically oppressed through time and unleash a cathartic overstimulation upon the audience. It is the aim of the stage show to couch this music in a comedic narrative featuring specialized collaborators in the form of actors, puppeteers, drag artists and musicians, building a world in which these aesthetic choices don’t simply exist for their face values, but reflect the experience and perspectives of humans and monsters alike.

Originally conceived and performed in March 2024 at the Emerald to commemorate the release of the album, the stage production of COLD GRAVY BOWL invited the audience into a fictional “live taping” of the famous Amos Biskit’s Weekly Barn Burner – an old timey television variety program featuring country music and family friendly humour, brought to you by Gravé Brand Gravy – a mysterious corporation with a delicious and popular product. In a tragic mid-show mishap, Amos drinks a toxic batch of gravy live on air, opening an interdimensional portal and unleashing catastrophe upon the cast of the show. The stage manager Maggie becomes possessed by the demon Magatha and the special guest performers, local bluegrass favorites the Matchsellers (having just performed an acoustic set) are transformed into the Executive Board of Directors of Hell – a trio of Horror Drag personas performed by local drag artists. Amos is tortured one by one by the fabulous freaks doing their drag numbers until he is forced to make a choice – be dragged into eternal damnation or save his own life by sacrificing the acoustic integrity of his old timey music programming. Upon learning that there is no cold gravy in hell (only piping hot gravy), Amos shamefully turns his back on his values and burns down the set of his beloved show while his house band True Lions plays a set of insanely loud and heavy interpretations of fiddle tunes among the flames, ending the night.

COLD GRAVY BOWL II: THE COLDEST BOWL tells the story of what happens next. Two years later, Amos Biskit is riding high on the success of his controversial new style of programming, and Gravé Brand Gravy is selling better than ever… but not all is well. Since ingesting the toxic cold gravy, Amos now cannot live without it – his mortal coil is bound to the substance that keeps him in a violent psychedelic state. The Executive Board of Directors of Hell run amuck on earth, freely torturing the masses with no scruples. The Mysterious Grady Van Gravé, CEO of Gravé Brand Gravy, has taken a special personal interest in Amos – now his top advertiser – and clenches his grip tighter and tighter on Amos’s personal life as his lust for control and profit swells exponentially. Fritz Hutchison is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter based in Kansas City. Fritz was born May 27, 1991. Fritz landed in the KC Music Community in 2008 gaining notice as part of the critically acclaimed band, She’s a Keeper where he played drums. Fritz played for several years with Grand Marquis, and for a while was part of the band Freight Train Rabbit Killer. Fritz has also played lived with multiple bands and performers including Krystle Warren, Calvin Arsenia, Miki P, J Ashley Miller, Lauren Krum, and others. He released his debut album, Wide Wild Acres in March 2020 on Center Cut Records, receiving positive reviews in the US, Australia, the UK and the Netherlands. His second solo album, MOVIE NIGHT was released on April, 15, 2022 through Manor Records. With his partner Alison Hawkins he has played as a guitarist with the ever evolving genre defying band True Lions, where Fritz has also released a split cassette release of his solo work on one side and True Lions songs on the other. With True Lions he also released Cold Gravy Bowl and MidCoast LIVE! Alison Hawkins is a queer artist, writer, multi-instrumentalist, and music teacher in KCK. They dropped out of music school (after studying classical piano) and dedicated their life to intersectional activism through community organizing and self-expression. In 2018 they founded the alt-pop band True Lions, releasing two EPs in 2019, and a keytar-inspired full-length album THE FEMPIRE STRIKRS BACK in 2021, released by Manor Records. In 2022 they became enchanted by the fiddle and obsessed with Ozark old time music while hiking through North American national parks. Derek Trautwein is a Kansas City-based theatre artist and wearer of multiple hats. Not just a director, but also an actor, producer, designer, playwright, and arts educator. He’s also the creator and artistic director of “The Spooky Shit Show”. You may have seen his work on and offstage at KC Public, Olathe Civic Theatre, Just Off Broadway Theatre, KC Melting Pot, Stuffed Buffalo Productions, The Living Room, KC Horrorfest, KC Moliere, and at various colleges in the Kansas City area, such as a ten year professorial stint at Benedictine College, William Jewell College, and Metropolitan Community Colleges of Kansas City.
