Julia Esperanza Davila
(May 25, 1933 – June 19, 2015)
On the eve of the eve of the Summer Solstice, during transition from one physical space to the next, our dear Julia decided to make the leap into the stars. Always ahead of her time. Her spirituality, and belief in the cycle of life, and how we are all connected, was an inspiration to me. She shined her love on to so many. We all lived together, as a family, for the last 8 years, and before that she was just across the street. Her son Caleb has been such a good son to her, he is a great example of how to care. He loved her so dearly. Our home feels so different with Julia gone. We all loved her so much and will carry her beautiful and peaceful spirit with us as we go forward. Love and peace to you all.

Julia Lennon had encouraged her son’s interest in music and bought him his first guitar. But after she split with John’s father, John was taken in by his aunt, Mimi, and Julia started a new family with another man; though she lived just a few miles from John, Julia did not spend much time with him for a number of years. Their relationship began to improve as he neared adolescence, though, and in the words of his half-sister, Julia Baird: “As he grew older, John would stay with us more often.]
