At 10:30 we welcome Richard Gintowt & Michelle Gaume Sanders of Hidden Pictures. We play songs from their new release: “Rainbow Records” from Golden Sound Records. Hidden Pictures will be in concert Saturday, July 28, at 10:00 PM, at the recordBar, 1020 Westport Rd, KCMO, with Southeast Engine, from Athens, Ohio, and Kansas City songwriter (and former Hidden Pictures bassist) Erik Voeks with a full-band set. At 11:00 Mark talks with Jade Osborne, Nate Bogert, & Calvin Arsenia, about “Lucid” a multimedia performance piece from Voler – Thieves of Flight collaborating with TR1B3, running through July 27, at the Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity, KC Ballet, 500 West Pershing Road, KCMO, as part of the KC Fringe Festival. Lucid features aerial and floor movements, live painting, video, an original score, and audience interaction. Tickets are $10 w/ Fringe Button. Shows: Mon 7/23 at 6:00 pm, Thu 7/26 at 7:30 pm, and Fri 7/27 at 11:00 pm.
At 11:15 Mark welcomes SPECIAL GUEST: DJ Fat Sal aka Patrick Alexander who joins us as Guest Producer & Co-Host, to share experimental music and rare vinyl soul.
