Bill Sundahl & The 20th Annual Crossroads Music Fest + Grand Marquis

Mark spins tracks from 15 of the 30+ bands playing the 20th Annual Crossroads Music Fest including: The Freedom Affair, The Salvation Choir, Flare Tha Rebel, Shy Boys, Jamogi, Keo & Them, Flight Attendant, The Canterberries, Danielle Ate The Sandwich, The Swallowtails, Grand Marquis, Danny McGaw, Zee Underscore, Supermassive Black Holes, and Trevor Turla.

At 10:00 Bill Sundahl joins us to share details about the 20th Annual KKFI Crossroads Music Fest, Saturday, August 24 in the West Bottoms & Sunday, August, 25 at the Folly Theater, including 30+ Bands, DJs, and Drum Lines, on 7 stages. Saturday’s stages in the Historic West Bottoms include: Lemonade Park, Voltaire, Stockyards Brewing, The Campground, The Livestock Exchange, and a special VIP stage at the Ox Cafe & Bakery. CMF also presents the Strawberry Swing Makers and Vendors, and a free Day Party at Lemonade Park (from Noon to 3:00pm) featuring: Talking Backwards, Art as Mentorship: Rebel Song Academy, and Agga Dagga. At 11:00 Mark & Bill welcome Bryan Redmond, Ryan Wurtz, and Natalie Bates of the acclaimed Kansas City band Grand Marquis who play The Folly Theater, 300 W 12th St. KCMO, on Sunday, August 24, 3:00pm to 6:00pm. This year, the Crossroads Music Fest are thrilled to add a second day at the iconic Folly Theater honoring the 25th anniversary of Grand Marquis. The band will celebrate their eras from over the last two and a half decades. Past members will join the band along with performances from the current bands they are making art with today. Joining the Grand Marquis on stage are: Slim Hanson & the Poor Choices, Sammy Nicolier, Victor & Penny, Damien Gunn Band, and Trevor Turla.
