At 10:15am, Sara Swenson shares new singles: “Taller Than You Think” and “Homesick” from her new full length album TALLER, to be released Friday, February 27, 2026. In 2009 Sara’s self titled debut SARA SWENSON was #1 on WMM’s 100 Best Recordings of 2009. In 2010 Sara Swenson released her second album, ALL THINGS BIG AND SMALL, followed by her 5-song EP, NEVER LEFT MY MIND from November of 2011. In that time, Sara won two Kansas City Singer-Songwriter of the Year Awards, performed with Sarah McLachlan’s Lilith Fair, and placed a song on the season finale of ABC’s “Private Practice.” In 2012, Sara Swenson left her job as an English and Journalism Teacher in Platte County High School, and flew to the United Kingdom, where she got married. After returning to KC Sara released her 4th album, RUNWAY LIGHTS on July 18, 2014, an album that captures snapshots of her 18-month experience of living abroad, getting married and sorting through transitions and emotions. Sara Swenson released the single, “I Wont Let You Feel Alone” on March 26, 2021 a song featured in her husband Michael Price‘s film “The Hidden Pandemic.” Sara Swenson plays a TALLER Album Release Show on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in The Gospel Lounge at Knuckleheads, 2715 Rochester Street, KCMO. At 11:00am, Mark welcomes Nathan Reusch and Charlie Burt who share details about the Kansas City Synthesizer Collective, a group of electronic musicians working to build platforms for experimental & emerging artists. The KC Synthesizer Collective is cultivating a community centered around creativity & self-expression in the electronic music scene. The collective meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 6:00pm to 10:00 pm at Stockyards Brewing Co. Nathan is co-founder of indie label, The Record Machine and is also a DJ. The pandemic inspired Reusch to dust off his Bobcat Attack moniker and renew his interest in making music. Joining Nathan is Charlie Burt who records with the band Korgtron and is also part of the KC Synth Collective. Austin Williamson, Gnozis, wrker, and Korgtron play The Kansas City Synthesizer Collective Four Year Anniversary Show, Friday, February 20, at 7:00pm, at Stockyards Brewing Co, 1600 Genessee St, Ste 100, KCMO. Brad also talks about his new music label Enigmatic Brunch that has recently released music from: Joel vs Joel, and Wills Van Dorn. Eggs on Mars is a 4-piece soft psych pop band from KCMO.
