At 10:30 we welcome back Chris Hudson a classically trained guitarist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, teacher and visual artist. Chris is part of the bands: Gullywasher, Hudson Electric, the Cruelest Months and The Bard Owls. Chris received his Bachelor of Music in 1996 from the UMKC Conservatory of Music. In 2007, Chris received the Lighton Prize for Excellence as a Music Teaching Artist for his work with children, inspiring their love of guitar and musical collaboration when forming Garage Bands at KCYA. Chris has released multiple full length recordings and continues to collaborate and experiment with new forms, instruments, electronic synth and music genres, including experimental video soundscapes. Chris shares music from his new Gullywasher album, Rustbelt Revelations II. Gullywasher is a trio, with Chris Hudson on guitar & vocals, Sam Wright on banjo & vocals, and Matt Cathlina on bass. Gullywasher plays a Rustbelt Revelations II Release Show at The Brick, 1727 McGee St., KCMO, on Friday, March 27, at 7:00pm with Cee Dee Vee, Primrose Junction, Beth & Brandon, and Natalie Prauser.

At 11:00am, Spencer Goertz-Giffen and Braden Young of Hello Biplane share music from their new album, “how to hold a bug” coming out on March 27, 2026. Hello Biplane is a Lawrence, Kansas based futuracana [alt/indie/folk-pop] band centered around the songwriting of Spencer & Braden who are partners both in music and in life. The couple’s thoughtful compositions set the mood for honest lyrics that touch on themes of raising family, relationships, and finding meaning in the ordinary day-to-day life. Hello Biplane’s wide sonic range is driven by dynamic, vocal harmonies, finger-style guitar leads, and an experienced band that features drums, bass, cello, synthesizers, and accordion. Like their name suggests, Hello Biplane’s songs nod to life’s fleeting moments – passing quickly but leaving something lasting in their wake. Hello Biplane play an Album Release show at the Bottleneck in Lawrence, KS on Saturday, March 28 with The Roseline and Thimastr. At 11:30am Mark talks with Brent Kinder a musician, poet, and songwriter of unlimited passion and a desire to create music and share it with the world. Brent is the brainchild of Angie Fights Crime a musical project that often features collaborations with musicians from around the world. With 49 albums, and 461 tracks, Angie Fights Crime is the musical project of one guy who couldn’t stop writing songs. The Angie Fights Crime discography is divided into two parts: Part I 1995-2015 (The Alphabet Series) and Part II 2016 – ? (The Greyscale Series). Angie Fights Crime released their newest album, To Be Beautiful on February 14, 2026. Brent Kinder is also in the band sMallWaves where he plays bass.
