The evening starts at 7:00 with Tiny Horse (Abigail Henderson & Chris Meck), at 7:30 The Ukulele Fight Club (Maria Vaquez Boyd, Joe Frogge, Patrick Fedo, Kim Rausch McLaws, Kent Turpin, Ruth Noland, and Don Hall) takes the stage to perform.

At 8:00 we present, “A Story in A Song,” with original stories from: David Wayne Reed, Meghan Whelan, Lisa Cordes, Sarah Beth Mundy, Maria Vasquez Boyd, Mark Manning, and Natasha Derakhshanian. These Kansas City based writers will each share a story, about a song, that changed their life in some significant way, and then we’ll hear the song.

The songs will be interpreted LIVE by the Dead Voices Band: Mike Stover, Jason Beers, Marco Pascolini, & Matt Richey, with Betse Ellis, and Abigail Henderson & Chris Meck (Tiny Horse). This incredible band collective will give us their interpretation of songs from: Velvet Underground, The Kinks, Regina Spector, David Bowie, The Carpenters, The Beatles, and Harry Chapin.

At 10:00, we’ll shift gears with a Post “Story” Dance Party! featuring three more Kansas City bands: Molly Picture Club at 10:00, The B’Dinas at 11:00, and Red Kate at 12:00.

Tickets are $10.00, at the door. Proceeds benefit 90.1 FM KKFI, Kansas City Community Radio. The recordBar is located at 1020 Westport Rd.
