At 10:30 Mark talks with Lawrence, Kansas based writer, Kelly Barth about her funny and heartbreaking new memoir, “My Almost Certainly Real Imaginary Jesus,” from Arktoi Books, an imprint of Red Hen Press. Kelly was a fiction fellow in the University of Montana’s creative writing program and has received fellowships from the Missouri Arts Council and the Kansas Arts Commission. Her work has been published most recently by Coal City Review and Muse & Stone. My Almost Certainly Real Imaginary Jesus is her first book.

In addition, there will be a Friday night “Pre-Party,” Friday, September 7, at Crossroads KC at Grinders, featuring: The Good Foot, The Grisly Hand, and a reunion of The Supernauts.
CMFKC is partnering with Midwest Musicians Foundation to raise funds for the musicians health care fund. MMF is organizing volunteers to staff the festival and share info on MMF’s mission.
