At 10:45, Kristie Stremel drops by to share music from her new album, Songwriter, released April 1, 2014, on her own label Stremeltone. This is her first self-produced album and Kristie is on tour this Spring and Summer. Armed with coffee, her guitar, and a catalog of over 75 published songs, she continues to zigzag the US performing with a band and/or solo acoustic. At 11:40, Marion Merritt joins us to talk about her new adventure in vinyl, and the opening of, Records With Merritt, at 1614 Westport Rd., KCMO 64111. Marion worked for 18 years as manager of the music department at Barnes & Noble on The Plaza.
