Phil Neal and The Wornalls

Phil Neal and The Wornalls

At 10:30 Mark talks with veteran rock & roller, Phil Neal who has written over four dozen, what he calls “Midwestern Rock” songs. Phil was the first KC singer to have a song on MTV (March 23, 1982). Phil Neal’s band, The Artists, had a video in rotation on MTV, critical acclaim, and national management. When the band fell apart, Phil continued on, writing songs, and playing for over three decades, with several different bands, including The Rockhills, all while making a home and raising a family. For the last four years The Wornalls have joined Neal, to bring his songs to life, and record two critically acclaimed albums. Phil Neal & The Wornalls play recordBar, Saturday, March 28, at 7:00pm.
