At 11:00 Mark welcomes Krystle Warren who will join us for the entire hour to talk about her new songs and latest recording project. Krystle will also share musical inspirations for these songs. Krystle Warren and her band will play The Polsky Theatre, Wednesday, May 25, at 7:30 PM, for the Performing Arts Series at Johnson County Community College, 12345 College Blvd, Overland Park, Kansas 66210. Krystle Warren began her musical career in her hometown, Kansas City. She is a graduate Paseo Academy of Performing Arts. After living in San Francisco and New York City, Krystle was signed to the French recording label Because Music, and moved to Paris and released her album “Circles.” Krystle has played many French and British television programs, including Later with Jools Holland. She has been compared to Tracy Chapman and Nina Simone, garnering critical acclaim and traveling all over the world, touring with Rufus Wainwright, Nick Cave, Norah Jones, and Joan As Police Woman. Krystle created her own music label: Parlour Door Music to release, “Love Songs: A Time you May Embrace” a recording from a 13 day session in Brooklyn, where she recorded 24 songs live with 28 musicians including her band, The Faculty, alongside choirs, horn and string sections.
