At 11:15, Sondra Freeman of Midwest Music Foundation returns to share news about the 8th Annual MidCoast Takeover, happening Wednesday, March 15 through Sunday, March 19, at the Shangri La, 1016 E 6th Street, in Austin, Texas, featuring over 85 musical acts from the Kansas City area, and beyond. This event began in 2010, as a Kansas City focused showcase of area musicians and music lovers gathering at the nation’s largest music festival in Austin, Texas. The showcase has grown into a four-day, two-stage event. The Midwest Music Foundation produces this annual endeavor, to shine a light on MidCoastal bands during one of the largest music and cultural arts festivals in the world.

The final MidCoast Takeover 2017 Fundraiser is Saturday, March 11, 8:00 pm, at The Brick, 1727 McGee, Kansas City, MO, featuring Not A Planet, Emmaline Twist, Jake Wells, and The Invisible World. $10.00 admission.
