   [Michigander – the acclaimed indie rock project led by Nashville-based singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jason Singer – has announced his sophomore album. Over Before You Know It is the follow-up to last year’s self-titled debut album and is heralded by “Freaking Out.” The first song that Singer wrote for the album, the dissociative anthem is the thematic core of the forthcoming Over Before You Know It. Singer tells us clearly about all that’s going wrong, from the weed that seems to be cleaving him from reality to his world that seems forever wobbling. “I don’t know about you,” he deadpans, “but I haven’t been happy in a while.” In the chorus, though, Singer lands on a line that pushes these three minutes well beyond complaints: “This is what it feels like to be alive,” he sings, the sound of a smile stretched across his lips. // “One of my favorite lines from the entire album is on ‘Freaking Out’, and it is, ‘this is what it feels like to be alive’, says Jason Singer. “I’ve learned that life is complicated and not as black and white as I thought it would be. Growing up is hard. So many things happen that you’re never prepared for. Life is all about the constant battle of good and bad. It’s about coming to the realization that it’s all just ‘part of it.’”]

With the world now mostly fluent in Thundercat, the new record descends like a fever dream shared between old friends with this luminous roll call orbiting a singer whose falsetto has deepened into something wiser, funnier, & achingly human. Danielle Anderson performs as Danielle Ate the Sandwich. Danielle is a singer/songwriter, recording artist, and comedic performer based in KCMO. Last year Danielle released her critically acclaimed new album FUMBLING from Danielle Ate The Sandwich, on March 21, 2025. Danielle has released over 300 YouTube videos, conducts an annual community songwriting project called the 24 Hour Album, and has released 8 full length albums of original music. She has opened for Mumford and Sons, Jake Shimabukuro, and had the opportunity to write the soundtrack to the Emmy nominated HBO documentary, “Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson.” In 2023, Danielle was awarded a 2-year studio residency at the Charlotte Street Foundation, and was the recipient of an Inspiration Grant from ArtsKC in 2024.

Danielle’s first one woman show, The Greatest Garage Sale Ever, was presened at the KC Fringe in 2024. It was the winner of “Best of Bird Comedy Theater”, “Made in KC” and the “Englewood Partnership Programs” Awards at KC Fringe 2024, and went to Denver Fringe in 2025, and Fort Collins Fringe in 2026.

Danielle Ate the Sandwich is the stage name of Danielle Anderson, a songwriter, recording artist, and comedic performer based in Kansas City, MO. A self taught performer and musician, Danielle has been growing her professional music career since 2009, and performing improv and original comedy characters since 2019. Her characters are silly, sweet, deeply flawed and deeply relatable. Danielle’s first one woman show The Greatest Garage Sale Ever was the winner of “Best of Bird Comedy Theater”, “Made in KC” and the “Englewood Partnership Programs” Awards at KC Fringe 2024, and went to Denver Fringe in 2025, and Fort Collins Fringe in 2026. Her most recent album release, Fumbling, is an album of original folk songs exploring love, loss and finding home. 12. David Bowie – “Moonage Daydream”
    from: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars / RCA / June 16, 1972
    [“Moonage Daydream” is a song by the English singer-songwriter David Bowie. It was originally recorded in February 1971 at Radio Luxembourg’s studios in London and released as a single by his short-lived band Arnold Corns in May 1971 on B&C Records. Bowie subsequently re-recorded the song later that year with his backing band the Spiders from Mars—Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Mick Woodmansey—for release on his 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. The re-recording was co-produced by Ken Scott and recorded at Trident Studios in London in November 1971. The re-recording is a glam rock song that uses melodic and harmonic hooks, as well as percussion and guitar influenced by heavy metal. On the album, the song directly introduces the character Ziggy Stardust, who describes himself as a bisexual alien rock superstar who will save the Earth from the impending disaster described in the opening track “Five Years”. Born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas, Katheryn has always had a passion for art. While in high school, I settled on the idea of one day becoming an art teacher, with the intention of making and selling my art on the side.

13. David Bowie – “Candidate”

    [Diamond Dogs is the eighth studio album by the English musician David Bowie, released on 24 May 1974 through RCA Records. Bowie produced the album and recorded it in early 1974 in London and the Netherlands, following the disbanding of his backing band the Spiders from Mars and the departure of the producer Ken Scott. Bowie played lead guitar on the record in the absence of Mick Ronson. Diamond Dogs featured the return of Tony Visconti, who had not worked with Bowie for four years; the two would collaborate for the rest of the decade. Musically, it was Bowie’s final album in the glam rock genre, though some songs were influenced by funk and soul music, which Bowie embraced on his next album, Young Americans (1975). // Conceived during a period of uncertainty over where his career was headed, Diamond Dogs is the result of multiple projects Bowie envisaged at the time: a scrapped musical based on Ziggy Stardust (1972); an adaptation of George Orwell’s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949); and an urban apocalyptic scenario based on the writings of William S. Burroughs. The title track introduces a new persona named Halloween Jack. The Belgian artist Guy Peellaert painted the controversial cover artwork depicting Bowie as a half-man, half-dog hybrid, based on photos taken by the photographer Terry O’Neill. // Preceded by the lead single “Rebel Rebel”, Diamond Dogs was a commercial success, peaking at number one in the UK and number five in the US. To mark the occasion she has shared her single “Cold April” featuring her tourmate Kara Jackson, Denitia and the Explore! Pop Choir. // Allison Russell just completed her second run on Broadway as Persephone in the 8x Tony Award winning musical Hadestown. She took over the role in November 2024 initially, after spending much of that year opening for Hozier on his Unreal Unearth Tour supporting his arena run on all US dates and throughout Europe.
