The band rehearse in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and record at Oscilloscope and Figure 8 Recording in Brooklyn. In December 2010, The Julie Ruin previewed a performance at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, New York. In 2012, The Julie Ruin released the song “Girls Like Us,” featuring queercore artist Vaginal Davis, as a free download as part of a series inspired by the book Real Man Adventures by T. Cooper. The band’s first album, Run Fast, was released on September 3, 2013 by Dischord Records.]

[2nd studio album by Australian electronic music group formed in Melbourne in 1997. They are known for their debut plunderphonics album Since I Left You (2000), as well as their live and recorded DJ sets. Since I Left You was a critical and commercial success, receiving multiple awards, and has been considered both one of the best Australian albums of all time and best albums of the 2000s. Their current lineup consists of Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi, and James Dela Cruz. Production of Wildflower was lead by Robbie Chater with assitance from Tony Di Blasi and lasted nearly 16 years, commencing shortly after the release of their debut album, Since I Left You, in November 2000 and not concluding until March 2016.]

Fally Afani is an award-winning journalist with a career spanning more than 15 years in media. She has worked extensively in radio, television, newspapers, and magazines. She has received several Kansas Association of Broadcasters awards as well as an Edward R. Murrow award for her online work in journalism. Fally lives in Lawrence, Kansas, where she reports on local and touring musicians and where she is the founder of, I Heart Local Music a comprehensive website providing info about Lawrence music events & bands.

13. Afefe Iku -“Mirror Dance (Yoruba Soul Remix) [feat. Oveous Maximus]”
from: Yoruba Gold / Yoruba Records / April 2, 2010
[Afefe Iku is the protege of Osunlade who was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Osunlade composed music for Sesame Street during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Afterward, he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he worked with artists such as Patti Labelle and Freddie Jackson. After a stint there, he moved to New York, where he founded Yoruba Records. To date he has worked with such artists as Roy Ayers, Nkemdi, Salif Keita, and Cesária Évora. He is a priest of the Yoruba religion of Ifá. Because of his beliefs, Osunlade’s music has a deep spiritual root in Yoruba traditions that are also reflected in the name of his record label. Many have mistaken Afefe Iku to be Osunlade himself, however this is not fact. Working closely with Osunlade, and utilizing is I’lle Studios, Afefe has been afforded the sound palette of the Yoruba sound. Hailing from the ancient island of Manda, near Lamu Town off Kenya’s coast. Afefe Iku released his debut album project for Yoruba Records in 2007.]

Cat Mahari is a dancer, performance artist, and choreographer. Her work in movement is informed by explorations of human conditions through multiple styles of dance and theatre, including breaking, funk, house, ballet, contemporary, and physical theatre. She is an alumni of the Conservatory of Music & Dance in Kansas City, Missouri, and the Royal School of Speech & Drama in London, England. Cat was a Charlotte Street Foundation / Urban Culture Project performing artist-in-residence, and was awarded a 2010 KC Arts Inspiration Grant for the multimedia work The Projects. Cat Mahari joins us to share information about ‪31st & Brklyn‬, a new space she is opening. 31st & Brklyn will host, Currents of Reality, on Saturday, July 16, 6:00 to 9:00 pm, at 3042 Brooklyn Ave, KCMO.

14. Laura Mvula – “Father, Father”
from: Sing To The Moon / Sony Music UK / April 4, 2013
[British soul singer-songwriter from Birmingham. Her debut album, Sing to the Moon, was released on 4 March 2013 with an orchestral re-recording released on 11 August 2014. Mvula grew up in the Birmingham suburbs of Selly Park and Kings Heath with two younger siblings and was influenced by the girl band Eternal. Her mother is from Saint Kitts and her father is from Jamaica. In 2005, Mvula sang with Black Voices, an a cappella group set up by her aunt. In 2008, she formed a jazz/neo-soul group called Judyshouse, singing lead vocals and writing material for the band. Mvula was Director of the Lichfield Community Gospel Choir, founded by Black Voices and Lichfield Festival in 2009. She has also previously directed the Alvechurch Community Choir. Mvula graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire at the Birmingham City University with a degree in composition. While she was working as a supply teacher in a Birmingham secondary school, she started writing songs on her laptop. She was working as a receptionist when she sent out two demos to several people in the music industry. One of them, Steve Brown, heard the songs and sent them to his manager, Kwame Kwaten, who would become Mvula’s manager. In a 2013 podcast for The Daily Telegraph, Mvula admitted to suffering from “crippling stage fright”.]

Cat Mahari’s teenage years were in St. Louis. She has lived in Miami, Dallas, New York.

UMKC Conservatory brought her to KC.

BAM! the Workshop, a multimedia performance approach to diversity and inclusion training, that is focused on honest and impactful conversations about America and blackness, localized stories and events to develop better workplace diversity, economic growth and community development. With BAM! the Workshop Cat Mahari collaborates with a fellow UMKC Conservatory of Music alumni, Herman Mehari, on trumpet.

Cat Mahari-Johnson’s project practices are based in wide ranging collaboration, investigation and exploration of relations between people, ideas, objects and language. She is a featured vocalist on works of visionary multidisciplinary artist Guilliame Zenses and house producer Steve-OH.

In 2013 she received a RAC artist support grant for the creation of her first full-evening length ensemble work: the floor, a work that explores repetition as a critical component for transformation in culture, and premieres autumn 2014. She is a 2014 visiting guest artist of the dance department of the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

She received a BFA in dance from UMKC, and a MA in Performance, Practice, and Research from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She is the co-founder of INCYPHER a digital media dance magazine.

Vol I, of the practice-as-research solo series Violent/Break has been shown in London, England; Carei, Romania; and at York University in Toronto, Canada.

Cat is currently in the planning stages of a 25 city tour of Violent/Break Vol I, which will culminate in a published work.

Cat Mahari’s work is based in exploring collaboration, practice, and research of known and unknown movement disciplines, video projects, and music.

Cat is both self-taught and has had guided training in urban dance, ballet, and contemporary movements, and utilizes lived experience across a spectrum of politics, society, and culture.

15. Theo Parrish – “Footwork”
from: American Intelligence / Sound Signature / January 12, 2015
[7th album from Theo Parrish is a musician and DJ based in Detroit, Michigan, often described as a ‘techno/house’ artist. He was born in Washington, DC. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois listening to jazz musicians like Miles Davis, Nina Simone, and George Gershwin. He graduated from the Chicago Academy of the Arts and went to study at the Kansas City Art Institute. While at KCAI, he concentrated on sound sculptures, creating sonic pieces by combining live instruments, human voices, and looped recordings. He received his BFA in 1994 and moved to Michigan to focus on musical projects. He has recorded music under his own name as well as with Rick Wilhite, Marcellus Malik Pittman and Kenneth Dixon Jr as 3 Chairs. He also puts out releases on his record label, Sound Signature. Another aspect of Theo Parrish’s productions are his re-edits, often of old disco, funk or soul records. He is almost as renowned for his expansive and genre-hopping live DJ sets as his productions, and played a monthly residency at the former London nightclub Plastic People.]

Since Calvin Arsenia came home to KC after living in Edinburgh, Scotland, he has released his EP, Moments, in 2014, and his EP Prose in 2015. He has played all over town, including showcases at Folk Alliance International, Kansas City Fringe Fest, The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, and collaborations with bands like My Brothers and Sisters. Calvin is also a graduate of Artist INC professional development program for artists in the Kansas City metro area and across the Mid-America Arts Alliance five state region. Standing at 6 foot 5 inches, Arsenia’s powerful vocals span a 3.5 octave range, while playing piano, banjo, guitar and harp. Calvin Arsenia is getting ready to release a new album in the fall.

Calvin recently returned to Edinburgh for 8 days.

At this year’s Folk Alliance International Conference, Calvin distributed an exclusive limited number, of a new EP he produced and recorded, called Catastrophe. So far this recording hasn’t been available, but Calvin hopes to release it soon.

One of the songs Calvin recorded for his Folk Alliance exclusive EP, Catastrophe, was called “Falling,” written by his friend, Cameron Phair.

Calvin played this song live in our 90.1 FM Studios.

Calvin is working on new album for the fall, with crowd funding, looking for grants. Through the recording process he is exploring the voice and breaking down barriers.

Calvin talked about his call for submissions for literary pieces to accompany songs on his new album.

Calvin is currently working with J Ashley Miller on recording for his Fall release. Calvin shared one of the songs from his recording project called, “Experience.”

18. Madisen Ward & the Mama Bear – “Daisey Jane”

[Record Store Day release. Singer songwriters, Madisen Ward and Ruth Ward, both play guitar, and sing harmonizing as son and mom. In the past 14 months they have garnered national acclaimed after an appearance at the 2014 Americana Music Fest, they signed with Glassnote Records and recorded their debut full-length album in Nashville with acclaimed producer Jim Abbiss. They released their first single, “Silent Movies,” the same night they performed the song on The Late Show with David Letterman on CBS Television. They launched a big tour across the United States and traveled to Europe for multiple shows in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and ten did it all again. They sang and played on the influential British television show, “Later With Jools Holland” They were featured on CBS Sunday Morning, and visited many radio stations. They performed on tour with Sufjan Stevens, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, played Bonnaroo, Pilgramage, and the Newport Folk Festival, and others. In 2015 they have been representing KC all over the world.]

from: A Man Alive / Ribbon Music / 2016
[4th studio album from San Francisco, California-based (formerly Falls Church, Virginia) alternative folk rock music group. It consists of Thao Nguyen on vocals & guitar) and Adam Thompson on vocals, bass guitar & keyboards. Produced by Merrill Garbus of tUnE-yArDs. Thao Nguyen was born in Virginia in 1984, and raised in Falls Church, Nguyen began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of twelve while helping out at her mother’s laundromat. She began performing in high school as part of a pop-country duo with friend Brenna Clerkin. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax County and studied at the College of William & Mary, where she double majored in Sociology and Women’s studies. After recording an EP that differed from her initial style, she began performing as a soloist with her acoustic guitar. With her fellow college students Adam and Willis Thompson she formed Thao Nguyen and the Get Down Stay Down. After graduating she toured extensively, both with the band and as a solo artist. She moved to San Francisco around 2009, and has been based there since.]

3. Wild Beasts – “Get My Bang”
from: Boy King / Domino Recording Co / August 5, 2016
[Indie rock from the UK. They released their first single, “Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants”, on Bad Sneakers Records in Nov. 2006, and then signed to Domino Records. They’ve released 4 acclaimed albums, Limbo, Panto (2008), Two Dancers (2009), Smother (2011), Present Tense (2014). In 2002, Queen Katherine School students Hayden Thorpe and Ben Little formed the duo Fauve, the French term for “wild beast”, and began writing songs. In January 2004, drummer Chris “Bert” Talbot and bassist Gareth “Gaz” Bullock, joined and the band’s name became Wild Beasts. The quartet recorded their eponymous demo EP in June 2004. In September 2005, the band relocated to Leeds and Tom Fleming replaced Bullock full-time bassist.]

[Watson chose to concentrate on the reason why over 300,000 people, black and white, gathered in Washington, D.C. on August 28, 1963. Dr. King spoke of coming to Washington to cash a 100 year old check, a moral check that the founding fathers wrote into the Declaration of Independence, but to this day, the check keeps coming back marked ‘insufficient funds.’ Introducing poet and spoken word artist Glenn North from KCMO, Check Cashing Day is a concept recording with 15 tracks portrayed in the vein of musical theatre. “I asked Glenn to put some poetry, from his perspective, to several of my compositions” comments Watson. “It was my desire with this project to produce poetry that would in some ways cleanse the soul,” notes North. In addition, Watson’s release features trumpeter Hermon Mehari, pianist Richard Johnson, drummer Eric Kennedy, flutist Horace Washington, and trombonist Karita Carter.]

[Olufela Olufemi Anikulapo Kuti was born June 16, 1962 and is popularly known as Femi Kuti, a Nigerian musician born in London and raised in Lagos. He is the eldest son of afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. and a grandchild of a political campaigner, women’s rights activist and traditional aristocrat Funmilayo Ransome Kuti. Femi’s musical career started when he began playing in his father’s band, Egypt 80. In 1986, Femi started his own band, Positive Force, and began establishing himself as an artist independent of his father’s massive legacy. His first record was released in 1995 by Tabu/Motown, followed four years later by Shoki Shoki (MCA), which garnered widespread critical acclaim. In 2001 he collaborated with Common, Mos Def and Jaguar Wright on Fight to Win, an effort to cross over to a mainstream audience, and started touring the United States with Jane’s Addiction. In 2004 he opened The Shrine, his club, where he recorded the live album Africa Shrine. After a 4-year absence due to personal setbacks, he re-emerged in 2008 with Day by Day and Africa for Africa in 2010, for which he received two Grammy nominations. In 2012 he was both inducted into the Headies Hall of Fame (the most prestigious music awards in Nigeria), was the opening act on the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ European arena tour and became an Ambassador for Amnesty International. He continues to expand the diversity of his artistry on his new album (2013) No Place for My Dream. Femi Kuti was a judge on Nigeria’s huge TV show Nigerian Idol Season 3.]

17. Esperanza Spalding – “One”
from: Emily’s D+Evolution (Deluxe Edition) / Concord Music Group / March 4, 2016
[5th album from an American jazz bassist, cellist and singer, Esperanza Emily Spalding, born October 18, 1984, who draws upon many genres in her own compositions. A concept album revolving around a central character named Emily (Spalding’s middle name), Emily’s D+Evolution is not a jazz album — though jazz does inform much of the music here. Instead, Spalding — who also co-produced the album alongside legendary producer Tony Visconti (David Bowie) — builds the release largely around angular, electric guitar-rich prog rock, kinetic, rhythmically rich jazz fusion, and lyrically poetic pop. Spalding was raised in Portland, Oregon and was a musical prodigy, playing violin in the Chamber Music Society of Oregon at age five. She was later both self-taught and trained on a number of instruments, including guitar and bass. Her proficiency earned her scholarships to Portland State University and the Berklee College of Music. She has won four Grammy Awards, including the Grammy Award for Best New Artist at the 53rd Grammy Awards, making her the first jazz artist to win the award. Of her new album Pitchfork writes, “These are exuberant, confrontational songs, amplified in the same sort of rock/funk hybrid style that brings Prince and Janelle Monae to mind. Gone is the Afro, replaced with long braids, wide-rimmed glasses, and ornate outfits.”.]

[Several years ago k.d. lang sent an email to Neko Case and Laura Veirs on a whim. It read simply, “I think we should make a record together.” Though the three musicians were barely more than acquaintances “Laura and I both responded immediately,” recalls Case. “There was no question.” ‘case/lang/veirs,’ is a new album by three phenomenal, self-driven artists was released with an extensive tour to follow. ‘case/lang/veirs’ features fourteen new, original songs written by the artists over a period of two-and-a-half years. It was recorded in Portland, OR where lang and Veirs both live, and produced by Tucker Martine with the group. Sessions commenced in lang’s loft with a view of Mount St. Helens, and in Veirs’ dining room and backyard studio. ‘case/lang/veirs’ draws inspiration from alluring, mysterious subjects: a supermoon, the tumbledown story of 70s singer Judee Sill, and the “best kept secret” in Silver Lake, to name but three.]

Krystle Warren began her musical career in her hometown, Kansas City. She is a graduate of Paseo Academy of Performing Arts. After living in San Francisco and New York City, Krystle was signed to the French recording label Because Music, and moved to Paris and released her album “Circles.” Krystle has played many French and British television programs, including Later with Jools Holland. She has been compared to Tracy Chapman and Nina Simone, garnering critical acclaim and traveling all over the world, touring with Rufus Wainwright, Nick Cave, Norah Jones, and Joan As Police Woman. Krystle created her own music label: Parlour Door Music to release, “Love Songs: A Time you May Embrace” a recording from a 13 day session in Brooklyn, where she recorded 24 songs live with 28 musicians including her band, The Faculty, alongside choirs, horn and string sections. Krystle is currently getting set to release her latest album of original songs, where she plays all of the musical instruments and sings all of the lead and background vocals. [Third studio album from D’Angelo. Released after a 14-year hiatus. Black Messiah won Best R&B Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards as well as Best R&B Song for “Really Love” which also was nominated for Record of the Year. Michael Eugene Archer was born February 11, 1974, better known as D’Angelo. Born in Richmond, Virginia, the son of a Pentecostal minister, he began teaching himself piano as a very young child, and at age 18 he won the amateur talent competition at Harlem’s Apollo Theater three weeks in a row. After briefly being a member of a hip-hop group called I.D.U., his first major success came in 1994 as the co-writer and co-producer of “U Will Know”. His debut solo album, Brown Sugar, released in July 1995, received rave reviews and sold over two million copies. Along with artists like Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Maxwell, and collaborator Angie Stone, D’Angelo became part of the Neo soul movement. D’Angelo became more uncomfortable with his growing status as a sex symbol. This was followed by numerous personal struggles including alcoholism, and a fourteen-year musical hiatus. ]

Krystle Warren began her musical career in her hometown, Kansas City. She is a graduate of Paseo Academy of Performing Arts. After living in San Francisco and New York City, Krystle was signed to the French recording label Because Music, and moved to Paris and released her album “Circles.” Krystle has played many French and British television programs, including Later with Jools Holland. She has been compared to Tracy Chapman and Nina Simone, garnering critical acclaim and traveling all over the world, touring with Rufus Wainwright, Nick Cave, Norah Jones, and Joan As Police Woman. Krystle created her own music label: Parlour Door Music to release, “Love Songs: A Time you May Embrace” a recording from a 13 day session in Brooklyn, where she recorded 24 songs live with 28 musicians including her band, The Faculty, alongside choirs, horn and string sections. Krystle is currently getting set to release her latest album of original songs, where she plays all of the musical instruments and sings all of the lead and background vocals. [Sufjan Stevens references outsider artist, Henry Joseph Darger, Jr. Born April 12, 1892 – and died, April 13, 1973, He was a reclusive American writer and artist who worked as a hospital custodian in Chicago, Illinois. He has become famous for his posthumously discovered 15,145-page, single-spaced fantasy manuscript called The Story of the Vivian Girls, in What is Known as the Realms of the Unreal, of the Glandeco-Angelinian War Storm, Caused by the Child Slave Rebellion, along with several hundred drawings and watercolor paintings illustrating the story. A press release on the Asthmatic Kitty website reported that the Illinois album was supposed to be a double record (with somewhere near 50 songs), but the idea was eventually scrapped. After the success of the album, Stevens returned to his analog 8-track recorder in late 2005 and began the process of finishing 21 of the previously abandoned songs, which would eventually become The Avalanche. Stevens has stated during interviews that although he doesn’t like The Avalanche as much as Illinois, he felt it was important to release the songs in light of the success of his most recent album. He has also said that he decided to release the album in order to buy time until his next “The 50 States” project,” release.]

3. Laurie Anderson – “Cartoon Song [Live Album Version]”

[3rd album release by avant-garde artist, composer, musician and film director, Laurie Anderson, born June 5, 1947, whose work spans performance art, pop music, and multimedia projects. Initially trained in violin and sculpting, Anderson pursued a variety of performance art projects in New York during the 1970s, making particular use of language, technology, and visual imagery. Released as a 5-record boxed set (later reissued, slightly truncated, on four CDs), the album was recorded at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City in February 1983. United States was Anderson’s magnum opus performance-art piece featuring musical numbers, spoken word pieces, and animated vignettes about life in the United States. Segments ranged from humorous, such as “Yankee See,” which gently chided Anderson’s record label, Warner Bros. Records, for signing her in the first place, to the apocalyptic anthem “O Superman,” which had been an unexpected Top 10 hit for Anderson on the UK music charts in 1981. Originally, United States was presented over the course of two nights, running some eight hours. The United States Live box set is a truncated rendering of the performance, omitting many segments that were solely of a visual nature. Among the songs performed on the album was “Language is a Virus (from Outer Space),” a pop-like song based upon a phrase attributed to William S. Burroughs. Anderson later performed a modified arrangement of the song in her 1986 concert film Home of the Brave. Although Anderson has since created numerous other major performance pieces (i.e. Moby-Dick, Stories from the Nerve Bible, Happiness, The End of the Moon), United States Live remains, to date, the only serious attempt at producing anything approaching a full-length recording of any of these performances, although her previous album Big Science and her segment of the compilation You’re the Guy I Want to Share My Money With consisted of studio-recorded excerpts from United States.]

4. David Bowie – “Sound and Vision 2013”

[A 2013 remix that was commissioned for Sony Xperia Z smartphone advertising campaign. The new mix by Sonjay Prabhakar utilized the original lead vocals and Mary Hopkin’s backing vocal with a new piano part by Rob Gentry. Parlophone Records digital download released on 7 October 2013. Originally “Sound and Vision” is a song and single by David Bowie which appeared on the album Low in 1977. The song is notable for juxtaposing an uplifting guitar and synthesizer-led instrumental track with Bowie’s withdrawn lyrics. In keeping with the minimalist approach of Low, co-producer Visconti and Bowie originally recorded the track as an instrumental, bar the backing vocal (performed by Visconti’s wife, Mary Hopkin). Bowie then recorded his vocal after the rest of the band had left the studio, before trimming verses off the lyric, and leaving a relatively lengthy instrumental intro on the finished song. Selected as a first single from the album, “Sound and Vision.”]

5. Herbie Hancock – “The Jungle Line (feat. Leonard Cohen)”

[A tribute album, featuring covers of songs originally written and performed by singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell. It is Hancock’s 47th studio album. Hancock is a longtime friend of Mitchell’s, and both he and saxophonist Wayne Shorter, who plays throughout the album, had previously collaborated with Mitchell on her 1979 album Mingus, and both continued to work with her on occasion ever since. Guest vocalists on River include Leonard Cohen, Tina Turner, Norah Jones, Corinne Bailey Rae, Luciana Souza and Mitchell herself. In 2008 The album won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and Best Contemporary Jazz Album at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards. The Album of the Year award surprised the music world; Hancock had faced competition from major-selling artists Kanye West, Foo Fighters, Amy Winehouse, and Vince Gill. River was only the second jazz album to win Album of the Year in the award’s history, the first being Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz and João Gilberto in 1965. It peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200 after enjoying a huge post-Grammy sales boost.]

6. Le Tigre – “My Art”

[Le Tigre is an American electroclash band from the United States, formed by Kathleen Hanna (formerly of Bikini Kill) and Johanna Fateman in 1998 in New York City. It also featured Sadie Benning from 1998 until 2001 and JD Samson for the rest of the group’s run. Le Tigre is known for its left-wing sociopolitical lyrics, dealing with issues of feminism and the LGBT community. Feminist Sweepstakes is the second studio album and the first album to feature JD Samson as a member of the band. She had previously worked with the band as a roadie and the operator of Benning’s slide show during live performances in support of their first record.]

7. Schmekel – “Gay Shame”

[Schmekel is an all-transgender, Jewish folk punk band from Brooklyn, NY, known for their humor. Lucian Kahn on guitar & vocals, Ricky Riot on keyboards & vocals, Nogga Schwartz on bass guitar, Simcha Halpert-Hanson on drums. Active from 2010 to 2014. They have been compared to Pansy Division, Tribe 8, Frank Zappa, Mel Brooks and Tom Lehrer. 8. ANOHNI – “Why Did You Separate Me from the Earth?”

[ANOHNI is formerly known as Antony Hegarty or Antony, is an English-born American singer, composer, and visual artist. She is best known as the lead singer of the band Antony and the Johnsons. Anohni was born in 1970 in the city of Chichester, England. Her family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States in 1981. In 1990, she moved to Manhattan, New York to study at New York University, where she founded the performance art collective Blacklips with Johanna Constantine. Entering a musical career, she began performing with an ensemble of NYC musicians as Antony and the Johnsons. Their first album, Antony and the Johnsons, was released in 2000 on David Tibet’s label Durtro. Their second album, I Am a Bird Now (2005), was a commercial and critical success, earning Anohni the Mercury Music Prize. In 2016, Anohni became the second openly transgender person nominated for an Academy Award; she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, along with J. Ralph, for the song “Manta Ray” in the film Racing Extinction.]

9. Ivory Black – “A Good Answer”

[Singer, songwriter, rock & roller, Ivory Black was born in 1986 in Peoria Illinois. Given up for adoption at the age of four, it was difficult to find trust in people after living with eight different foster families, running away at 15, moving from Indiana to Oklahoma, Ivory eventually ended up in Seattle. In 2011, after a friend sent a plane ticket, Ivory landed in the Kansas City.]

10:30 – Interview with Ryan Wilks

Ryan Wilks is a Kansas City based artist who’s work centralizes on gender issues, femininity and sexuality. His upcoming exhibition: “Gender Treason,” opens July 1, at 6:00 PM, at Leedy-Voulkos Art Center, 2012 Baltimore Ave, in Kansas City’s Crossroads Art District.

“Gender Treason” is a year long project involving the documentation of 12 queer persons living in Kansas City who were interviewed, photographed, recorded, transcribed, and painted in oils. The aspiration of this project is to reshape the perception of queer people in Kansas City in a constructive and powerful way. More information at: http://www.wilkspainting.com

10. The Velvet Underground – “I’ll Be Your Mirror (Mono Version)”

[The Velvet Underground & Nico is the debut album by American rock band the Velvet Underground and vocal collaborator Nico, released in March 1967 by Verve Records. Recorded in 1966 during Andy Warhol’s Exploding Plastic Inevitable multimedia event tour, The Velvet Underground & Nico would gain attention for its experimental performance sensibilities, as well as the focus on controversial subject matter expressed in many of its songs including drug abuse, prostitution, sadism and masochism and sexual deviancy. In 1982, musician Brian Eno famously stated that while The Velvet Underground & Nico initially only sold 30,000 copies, “everyone who bought one of those 30,000 copies started a band.” Though it was a commercial failure upon release and was almost completely ignored by critics at the time, the record has since become one of the most influential and critically acclaimed rock albums in history, appearing at number thirteen on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time as well as being added to the 2006 National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress. “I’ll Be Your Mirror” is a song by The Velvet Underground. It appeared on their 1967 debut album The Velvet Underground & Nico. It also surfaced as a single a year earlier with “All Tomorrow’s Parties” in 1966. Lou Reed wrote the song for Nico, who provides lead vocals. Inspiration for the song apparently came about after Nico approached Reed after a show in 1965 saying, “Oh Lou, I’ll be your mirror.” The song was a favorite of Reed’s and The Velvet Underground & Nico engineer, Norman Dolph.]

11. Lou Reed and John Cale – “Images”

[Dedicated to the memory of Andy Warhol, their mentor, who had died unexpectedly in 1987. Drella was a nickname for Warhol coined by Warhol Superstar Ondine, a contraction of Dracula and Cinderella, used by Warhol’s crowd. The song cycle focuses on Warhol’s interpersonal relations and experiences, with songs falling roughly into three categories: Warhol’s first-person perspective (which makes up the vast majority of the album), third-person narratives chronicling events and affairs, and first-person commentaries on Warhol by Reed and Cale themselves. The songs on the album are, to some extent, in chronological order.]

12. Britta Phillips – “Ingrid Superstar”

[Britta Phillips was born June 11, 1963. She is a singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, actor, and voice actor. Phillips’ music career spans more than 30 years. She came to prominence in the mid-1980s as the singing voice of the title character of the animated television series Jem. She has also been a member of the bands Luna and as one half of the duo Dean & Britta, both with her husband Dean Wareham. For a few years, on and off, Phillips has been working on Luck Or Magic, her solo debut, which started off as a collaboration with the late dance producer Scott Hardkiss. The album finally comes out this week. It’s got five originals and five covers. The closing original track, “Ingrid Superstar,” named after the former Andy Warhol superstar who disappeared in 1984 and has not been found. It’s a fitting reminder of Britta’s connection to Warhol, particularly on Dean & Britta’s 2009 release 13 Most Beautiful Songs for Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests. “In addition to her talents as a film comedienne, Ingrid Superstar also wrote short poems and prose pieces, which were occasionally published, and sometimes gave public readings from her Trip Book. Warhol thought ‘her poems were good, really good, half poetry and half comedy.’ In later years, Ingrid Von Scheven fell on hard times, struggling with a drug problem and eventually ending up in Kingston, New York, where she worked in sweater factory. She disappeared one day in December 1986, after leaving her apartment to buy cigarettes. although the Kingston police announced ‘there’s a clear possibility of foul play and we are intensifying our investigation,’ she was never found. She was forty-two years old at the time of her disappearance.”]

13. Le1f – “Wut”

[Khalif Diouf, known by his stage name Le1f, is an American rapper and producer from New York City. He runs the hip hop label Camp & Street, a subsidiary of Greedhead Music. As a gay rapper he’s garnered attention for his unique and subversive musical and performance styles. Following a series of well-received mixtapes and EPs, his debut studio album Riot Boi was released in November 2015. Hey is the label debut EP by Le1f. The EP also marks the first official hip hop release for Terrible Records, aside from Solange’s 2013 single “Looks Good with Trouble” that featured Kendrick Lamar. “Ask a gay question/ Here’s a black answer” is a line hidden in the opening track of big indie label debut.]

Kansas City based poet & spoken word artist, Jen Harris, joined us to talk about her Kickstarter campaign to support the release of her debut spoken word album, Flaunting Her Mediocrity, (due out Fall 2016), and planning her 2016 solo cross-country tour: Multiple Personalities.

Earlier this year her first book of poetry, SLAMMED was published through Prospero’s Books and Spartan Press as part of the POP POETRY series.

Jen Harris is co-owner of Createful Studios LLC, & founder of KC’s PoUnd SLAM now called Kansas City Poetry Slam.

14. Pieta Brown – “Painter’s Hands”

[Recorded at Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon’s studio April Base, Paradise Outlaw was another new spin on the ethereal folk sound Brown has crafted over six albums. Pieta Brown was born in 1973 in Iowa City, Iowa. Her early upbringing was in Iowa. There, Brown was exposed to traditional and rural folk music through her father, singer songwriter Greg Brown. Brown spent her childhood living in 17 different residences between Iowa and Alabama. While living with her mother in Alabama, Brown began writing poetry and composing instrumental songs on piano. As a musician and singer-songwriter she has released five albums and four EPs. Collaborator Bo Ramsey produced her 2002 debut record, Pieta Brown and co-produced her 2005 album In the Cool, which was named one of the year’s best by Amazon. Her next album Remember The Sun was released in 2007 and was cited as one of the year’s best in a The Wall Street Journal article. After the release of her next album, One and All, Brown joined Mark Knopfler’s North American tour, had a string of performance dates with John Prine, participated in a full orchestral show with Brandi Carlile, and embarked on her own performance tour in Australia. Brown’s 2009 EP, Shimmer was produced by Don Was after hearing her on his car radio in a live solo performance. In addition to Mark Knopfler, John Prine and Brandi Carlile, Brown has shared stages with JJ Cale, Emmylou Harris, Richard Thompson, Ani DiFranco, Calexico, Neko Case, Mason Jennings, Shawn Mullins, Carrie Rodriguez and Jim Lauderdale. She has performed at festivals throughout North America including Bonnaroo, Mountain Jam, Edmonton Folk Music Festival and more. Her national radio credits include performances on eTown and Mountain Stage. Brown is married to guitarist and producer, Bo Ramsey.]

15. Rufus Wainwright – “The Art Teacher”

[4th album from American-Canadian singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright. Wainwright was born in Rhinebeck, New York, to folk singers Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Wainwright III. His parents divorced when he was three, and he lived with his mother in Montreal for most of his youth. Want Two is, according to Wainwright, the darker sibling of 2003’s Want One – its subject matter concerned with “the world we live in” after Want One’s focus on the intensely personal. Antony Hegarty of 2005 Mercury Prize winners Antony and the Johnsons sings lead vocal alongside Wainwright on “Old Whore’s Diet”. ]

16. Janelle Monáe Feat. Prince – “Givin Em What They Love”

[Janelle Monáe moved from Kansas City, Kansas to New York to study theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Her original plan was to pursue a career on Broadway, but she soon changed her mind and returned to music. After moving to Atlanta, GA, where she met OutKast’s Big Boi, Monáe founded the Wondaland Arts Society with like-minded young artists and made appearances on Outcast’s Idlewild, where Janelle is featured on the songs “Call The Law” and “In Your Dreams”. In 2007, Monáe released her first solo work, titled Metropolis. A few months later she was signed to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ label, Bad Boy Records.]

Described as “Joan Jett & Tom Petty’s love child,” and armed with her guitar, fueled by coffee, and over 75 published songs, singer, songwriter, producer, rock & roll mom, Kristie Stremel has had a very busy year. In October, 2013 Kristie and her partner, Lori Isabell, welcomed their adopted baby son, Charlie, into their family. In April 2014 Kristie released her 6th solo record, and the 9th full-length release of her musical career of over 20 years. 18. Television Personalities – “Lichtenstein Painting”

[2nd album from The Television Personalities, an English post-punk band formed in 1978. The band was led through several incarnations by singer-songwriter Dan Treacy, its only constant member.] [Roy Fox Lichtenstein was born October 27, 1923 and died September 29, 1997. He was an American pop artist. During the 1960s, along with Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and James Rosenquist among others, he became a leading figure in the new art movement. His work defined the basic premise of pop art through parody. Favoring the comic strip as his main inspiration, Lichtenstein produced hard-edged, precise compositions that documented while it parodied often in a tongue-in-cheek manner. His work was heavily influenced by both popular advertising and the comic book style. He described pop art as “not ‘American’ painting but actually industrial painting.” His paintings were exhibited at the Leo Castelli Gallery in New York City.]

Despite initial success, Mission of Burma disbanded in 1983 due to Miller’s development of tinnitus caused by the volume of the band’s live performances. Mission of Burma reformed in 2002, with Bob Weston replacing Swope, and has since recorded three more albums, ONoffON, The Obliterati, and The Sound The Speed The Light. [The Name of This Band Is Talking Heads is a double live album by Talking Heads, originally released in 1982. The first disc featured the original quartet in recordings from 1977 and 1979, and the second disc the expanded ten-piece lineup that toured in 1980 and 1981. The album contains live versions of songs that appear on Talking Heads: 77, More Songs About Buildings and Food, Fear of Music, and Remain in Light. The cassette edition of the album included “Cities” as a bonus track not included on the vinyl edition – this track has been included on the subsequent CD release. The title of the album is a reference both to the group’s preference for having no expressed definite article within the band name (as opposed to “The Talking Heads”) and to David Byrne’s minimalist introductions to songs. The album opens with one such introduction: “The name of this song is New Feeling. He champions “Ameripolitan” as a new genre of original music and has positioned himself as a tattooed, stubbornly independent outsider who is interested in recording authentic country music. As a result, he has become a favorite of critics and alt-country fans. Since 1995 he has released 29 full length albums. Jody Hendrix is co-founder of Little Class Records, and is co-founder of the Westport Roots Festival. He organizes all of the music presented at The Westport Saloon. Jody grew up dreaming of making music. By the age of 14, he was forming bands and organizing little free festivals in public parks. After serving in the military, and learning life’s lessons the hard way, while in his late 20s, Jody helped form, Them Damned Young Livers, a “cowpunk” band that toured the region in a bus fueled on vegetable oil.

In an effort to avoid the high prices of commercial recording studios, Jody and his band created their own studio, to record their second album, Psalms of Ill-Repute. Eventually their home-made studio began recording music for their friends, and in 2010, with the recording of Billy Beale’s “Slide Dog Billy,” Jody created Little Class Records with friend and collaborator, Matt Dennis. While working as booking manager at The Westport Saloon, in 2013 Little Class Records teamed up with The Westport Saloon to create Westport Roots Festival, now in it’s third year, featuring over 60 bands, on six stages in Westport, on Saturday, May 28, 12:00 Noon through 2:00 AM.

While searching for ways to get his band’s music out there to listeners and fans, Jody Hendrix ended up creating a recording company that is serving multiple bands and many many musicians, and an entire community of music lovers.

Little Class Records, the label has put out so much music in a short period of time. In fact there are six new Little Class records releases happening during this year’s Westport Roots Festival:

Nathan Kalish and The Lastcallers – Continental Breakfast of Champions
[After releasing their debut record, How Am I Supposed To Get Back Home, on Little Class in 2015, NKATLC continued grinding away and accomplished over 250 shows and walked away with an sophomore follow up that was completely curated on the road. When you do as many shows as these guys, there is no rehearsal, you write, create and shape songs in front of people every night. This particular collection is wrapped in Cosmic Cowboy, Outlaw and Classic Country. Obvious inspirations include Woody Guthrie and John Prine with a touch of early Sun Records slap back.] [By way of Grand Rapids, Mi., Nathan Kalish and The Lastcallers are slated to call KC home in Spring 2016 to be close to the amazing music happening here.]

Julian Davis and The Hay-Burners – Make Americana Great Again
[16 year old Julian Davis has quite a splash on the regional roots scene. With his television debut just days after the fest, Julian and his Hay-Burners have a new album to boot. This will be the trio’s first effort as a full band. Since the release of Who Walks In, When I Walk Out?, Julian and Seth Campbell on bass stumbled upon red hot fiddler’, Shannon O’Shea and quickly invited her to permanently round out the sound. O’Shea’s authentic hillbilly chops bring a real western swing feel to the project. There will be some originals revisited on this release as well as some obscure songs from heroes past.]

The Drunken Cuddle – Electric Cat
[The 3rd studio album, from Denver, Colorado, based “cowpunk”band. Spouting a solid set of road tested tunes with no frills or anything fancy, this album was recorded to sound exactly like TDC sounds live. Why? Because that’s how we love music. All songs were captured in 2 to 3 live takes, displaying the tightness of this Never-go-home duo. The thing we love about this band, is they are the perfect bridge between roots and punk. In fact, they inhabit the hearts in the nationwide punk communities the same way they do in the roots community. Between the spaghetti western guitar lines and the fast as hell tempos, there isn’t a subculture in the land that wouldn’t like to be Drunken Cuddled.]

Monzie Leo and The Big Sky – Visions Envelop
[Monzie Leo has a big voice and a knack for songwriting. His presence is large and the sounds on Visions Envelop are a powerful reminder of what culture and talent reside in rural Kansas. Some tracks you can boot scoot to at times, while others are rather somber, full of minor chords and melodies that are almost influenced by soul music. The songs are thought provoking, introspective and always tell a story. ]

Boot Hill – Buried With Their Boots on: The Very Worst of Boot Hill
[During the late 90’s and early 00’s Boot Hill was one of Kansas City’s best cowpunk bands. Frontman and songwriter, Gary Cloud has resurrected this outfit (with some minor adjustments) and prepared a compilation of old demos and b-sides for release at the fest. We have also been told that there will be a handful of new tracks to boot! Gary Clouds’ rock n’ roll noises have been dwindled down to some solo acoustic shows here and there for several years now. We only hope that the resurrection of Boot Hill brings his music back to the forefront of the local scene. Both the KC punk scene and the roots community could use a dose.]

CJ Walker – Currently Untitled
[CJ Walker is a 21 year old blues guitarist with something special: His old soul. Coming from a family of Kansas City Blues pioneers, it’s not surprising that CJ has Kansas City Blues deep in his gut. What is surprising, is he does it against all odds. CJ suffered a traumatic injury at birth leaving him with only partial use of his left hand. Long story short he wound up being one of the best blues guitarist we’ve ever heard. CJ and his band, consisting of Adam Watson on Drums and Derek Tucker on bass, are currently in the studio and will hit the ground running on May 28th with their debut full length! For fans of Jimi Hendrix and BB King.]

Westport Roots Festival was developed in 2013 when Little Class Records and The Westport Saloon decided to team up and make The Historic Neighborhood of Westport, located in KCMO ground zero for the new roots music revolution. Launching Memorial Day Weekend, 2014, WRF made waves and in the media and the national music community with the diverse line up of genre bending artists. The traditional Bluegrass, Honky-Tonk and Outlaw acts performed side byside with Psychobilly, Cowpunk and Neo-Traditional acts, creating a unique blend of music appealing to many listening preferences!

This is the third album from the singer songwriter who was raised in Alabama, Fitzgerald and has lived in Bakersfield, California and Austin, Texasa but considers Columbia, Missouri her home. The lyrics of POPULAR SONGS FOR WHOLESOME FAMILIES are beautifully poetic and personal and sometimes painful in their expression of isolation, death, betrayal.

In the midst of this crazy political year Rae relates her own personal moments with references to Ferguson Missouri, Living in the USA, drinking clean water.

“LOST IN UKRAINIAN VILLAGE” is the second single from your Rae Fitzgerald’s record and it premiered on AtwoodMagazine.com with a beautiful piece written by Mitch Mosk.

The cover photo for POPULAR SONGS FOR WHOLESOME FAMILIES shows four women sitting on the steps of a porch to a house with a man wearing shorts stands to the right. Rae explained that this is a picture of her father, her grandmother, and her aunts.

Throughout the 11 songs on the new record, we noticed references to Seagrams, Vodka, Wine, Beer, bourbon, gin, champagne, heroin, camel double wides, and Cat Power, as revelation to what is truly on the cabinets of WHOLESOME FAMILIES homes.

Rae Fitzgerald recently recorded for Daytrotter, a website for the recording studio Horseshack, located in Rock Island, Illinois, which hosts recording sessions with many popular and typically up-and-coming indie music acts. Founded in 2006 by Sean Moeller. The sessions can be compared to that of a radio station’s lounge recordings, where musicians passing through the town can record live in the studio. Due to their tendency to offer an eclectic sampling of music, and their production style (see Studio section below) the sessions have been compared to that of the legendary Peel Sessions. The site typically hosts around 60 songs by 17 bands per week, almost all available as downloads. According to the Daytrotter website, they have served more than 21.5 million song downloads.

The album was recorded & mixed with Paul Malinowski at Massive Sound Studios where everyone is in the same room.

The Philistines were born out of a heavy snowstorm in Kansas City in late 2012. Cody Wyoming told Tim Finn in a January 2015 interview, that with his girlfriend of eight years, Kimmie Queen, holed up in the house they share, and music started to happen. “We had lots of food, whiskey and records,” Wyoming said. “So we stayed in, played records and wrote songs.”

The idea of the band evolved as Cody started creating songs in collaboration with Kimmie.

All of individual members of The Philistines represent many different parts of the Kansas City Music and Arts Community

1. Josh Mobley is one of the original members of Hearts of Darkness, and The Afterparty, he has been a working part of the West Crossroads and West Bottoms cultural arts scene at Y.Js, The Ship, and The Mardi Gras celebrations.

2. Steve Gardels was formerly with the band Appropriate Grammar, The Art Institute, Stever works in film and video work, performance art, the punk scene and he came from the Omaha music scene.

3. Cody Wyoming is also a member of The Pedaljets, he was part of the bands: Tiny Horse, The Cody Wyoming Deal, The Afterparty, The Von Hodads, David George and A Crooked Mile, Wyandotte County Lowriders, The Monitor, he has directed and produced plays at The Living Room and organized tribute shows for The Rolling Stones, and The Velvet Underground. He has worked at Midwestern Musical Company, The Folk Store, and is a former radio show host on KKFI.

4. Rod Peal created Halcyon Diversified Trading, and after moving from brick and mortar to online, he still sells albums and collectibles through Cowtown Mallroom, 3101 Gillham Plz. Along with Kimmie he his a parent, a Rock & Roll Dad.

5. Michelle Bacon is everywhere in the KC music scene, as a member of of Chris Meck & The Guilty Birds, as a writer for The Bridge 90.1, as former editor of The Deli Magazine, and former member of the bands Deco Auto, Drew Black & Dirty Electric, and Dolls On Fire. Michelle also works extensively as a volunteer for Midwest Music Foundation, she has also worked for Folk Alliance.

6. Kimmie Queen works as an actress. She has been seen on stages for The Coterie Theatre, Late Night Theatre, The Living Room Theatre, La Esquina/Charlotte Street Foundation. Kimmie has also worked as a make up and costume designer, director, writer and producer, and she has worked in theatre education.

The album was recorded & mixed with Paul Malinowski at Massive Sound Studios and mastered by Mike Nolte at Eureka Mastering. This album was mastered for vinyl.

THE BACKBONE OF NIGHT

In early 2014, members of The Philistines shared their musical influences with The Deli Magazine KC and Editor Michelle Bacon:

Cody: The Flaming Lips are a big influence, but also The Velvet Underground, Love and Rockets, Mazzy Star, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and Black Sabbath. But hidden under the feedback and reverb, there’s some pretty basic early rock ‘n roll and even girl group influences. There’s some Buddy Holly and Elvis in there as well as The Ronnettes and the Crystals.

Kimmie: Love and Rockets, the Velvet Underground, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Sabbath, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are probably the most obvious influences. Some others are Italian and British horror cinema of the ‘60s and ‘70s, Hugh Hefner, and The Monkees.

Rod: Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, The Beatles, The Stones, The Sonics, The Stooges, Expo ‘70.

In the Deli Magazine KC interview, members gave “thumbnail descriptions” of the band’s sound:

Cody: Psychedelic rock. Sometimes heavy, sometimes dreamy.
Kimmie: Go-go acid pop.
Steve: Loud, drippy ’70s-era psych with a ’60s pop attitude.
Rod: Psychedelic pop stoner rock, the best of all my favorite genres.

[Paseo Arts Academy Graduate was signed to a French label, Because Music and then created her own label: Parlour Door Music. Krystle has been touring Europe opening for Rufus Wainwright, Nick Cave, Norah Jones, and Joan As Police Woman. Krystle Warren’s new album came from a 13 day recording session in Brooklyn, where she recorded the songs live with 28 musicians including her band, The Faculty, alongside choirs, horn and string sections. 14. Calvin Arsenia – “’86”

[25 year old Calvin Arsenia returned home to Kansas City after living and performing in Edinburgh, Scotland. Standing at 6 foot 5 inches, Arsenia strikes a commanding presence complimented by his equally powerful vocal capacity and his abilities playing piano, guitar and harp. He also works as a songwriter, composer, lyricist, producer, and engineer. Calvin Arsenia made his debut as a performer in early 2010 and since then he has written, arranged and produced 5 EPs. Earlier this year in April, he release a 7-song EP called “Moments” and now is set to release a new EP “Prose,”a collection of new songs inspired by his own personal revival. 15. Pageant Boys – “Because”

[1st single from the new upcoming album from the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania based trio formed by Alex Sheppard on guitar & vocals, Cooper Neil on keyboards, and Larry Fleury on percussion. Pageant Boys is the current musical project of 20 something, Alex Sheppard is a Pittsburg native who’s been writing and recording music for more than a decade, and was part of the funk-rock group the Medicine Men, and was the driving force behind Alexandre. While living in Istanbul, Turkey, Sheppard started recording using laptop & bluetooth phone mic, though none of his previous musical efforts incorporated electronics in a major way. “It was born of necessity,” he said, as his stay in Turkey was longer than expected and his instruments weren’t with him.][Pageant Boys play MiniBar Friday, May 27, at 10:00 PM with Calvin Arsenia.]

Revolvers, are part of a new release called, I’ll Repay You: A Benefit for John Fackler – featuring the songs of John Fackler and Jettison. This a benefit for John Fackler who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (Type III ) when he was 15. He is now 39 and has worked full time since he was 18. He wants to continue to working to support himself financially, however, because of his ever-worsening condition, he is having obstacles that won’t be overcome without obtaining a Bounder power chair and a wheelchair conversion van.

John’s friends, including John Velghe & The Prodigal Sons, Revolvers, Deco Auto, Dead Ven, Chad Rex, Ben Summers, Suicide Robins, and Hipshot Killer all recorded his songs for this new collection and a tribute show. 16. Revolvers – “Closer Then”

[This song was written by John Fackler, but influenced completely by Revolvers (and Husker Du). John remembers seeing Revolvers play numerous times and wanting so bad to be as good as them. This was an early attempt at that concept. Now it is a Revolvers song. Fackler could not be happier with the results. He views it as an absolute honor. Buddy on drums, Mike on guitar, Chris on bass, and Justin on vocals. Recorded at Whisker Gables, KCMO by Chris Meck. Mastered by Duane Trower at Weights & Measures Soundlab.

16. Two Headed Cow – “Signs and Wonders”

[Tod Davis and Bj McArthur moved to Kansas City from Pensacola, Florida several years ago.
